Producer Astral22 has been fascinated since his early years with all things musical. Nourished by the polyrhythmic diversity of his native New York City, now residing in LA / Palm Springs, Astral22 reaches down to primal elements, where the roots of R&B, Soul, Hip Hop and Chill beats come alive, full of beauty, life, and rich with experience. Astral22 a.k.a. Armand Tulumello is also the founder of the boutique label Trans Phatt Records.
“I create from an inner ‘feel good’ place. The foundations of soul music complimented with electronic and ambient elements and my connection to the metaphysical, nonphysical realm is where the Astral22 production sound emanates. The stars, cosmos and nature speak directly to me, and are ultimately what inspires me musically. Producing music is my way of adding more beauty to this world, inspiring people, and my unique outlet to serve and project love.”
Highlights of Astral22’s discography include; “Astral22 Presents Imperial” which is a 15 track various artists compilation which reached Top Seller Status on CD Baby, #1 for 12 weeks on London’s Starpoint Radio Soul Chart, and Top 5 for 8 weeks on UK’s Solar Radio Soul Chart. Astral22’s “Open Source Love” is an instrumental album exploring ambient sexy, soulful, and chilled beats. Recent collaborations include artist Jesse Maxwell’s singles including “Average” and his debut album “Radiosilence”, Chris Reinhardt debut album “Inside Identity” & sophomore album “Blaze”, Mz.
