Southern California native, artist / producer / beatmaker Topnachbeats aka Ignacio Ruiz Jr. started writing and producing at age 15. Influenced by artists producers Jay Z, Emminem, Kanye West, Dr. Dre, and the sound of Rockafella Records. In 2015 Topnachbeats started collaborating within the independent hip hop scene, and in 2017 with R&B Soul producer Astral22, receiving feature credits on the “Force Of Life EP” – LeNora Jaye. Topnachbeats and Astral22 went on to produce 2 more singles for LeNora Jaye, “Put It Down” and “On The Side” In 2019 Topnachbeats and Astral22 co-produced emerging Toronto artist Jesse Maxwell’s debut album “Radio Silence” set for release in 2020.
Eighteen is Topnachbeats debut solo album, and contains 15 hip hop instrumentals curated by the artist / producer from a catalog of over 1500 beats still to be unearthed. The title “Eighteen” is a nod to how many years Topnachbeats has been beat making, and the song titles pay homage to his father who was a classically trained pianist and passed down his gift to his son. “Eighteen” has its own sound, heavy hitting, yet somehow meandering, moody, atmospheric and orchestral.
